Doorway
I'm reading a novel set in 1928 where they talk about colourizing pictures, so I printed this door picture onto watercolour paper so it would come out dull and then added some varnish and sparkles. Then picked it up before the varnish was dry so made a big mess of the stucco part and painted that white, which I kinda liked in the end.
An inspiration also came from the photo below which I'd made a long time ago on watercolour paper, and then added varnish or glue and sparkles.
Wow, wow, wow. I love the variety of your work, Dianne ... all the different things you're trying. So impressive. That door makes me want to knock on it, hoping for "Tea and Conversation While Wearing Hats." (It's an activity that a brilliant friend of mine invented to keep her unruly greatniece and -nephew occupied. It worked!)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo! Anytime you knock on the blue door, Tea and Conversation While Wearing Hats are promised!
