Image Transfer

Some success with image transfer - finally. Inkjet photo (plain copy paper) onto watercolour paper. I brushed the image with ModPodge and turned it image side down onto the watercolour paper. Let it dry overnight and rubbed off the paper very gently under a warm tap. All four of these still have some paper on them, and I think this is a nice look. On the second one of Ivy, below, I rubbed the rest of the paper off so that what you see is the pure transfer. I'd like to find a method that transfers completely while retaining more sharpness. A laser photo is apparently one of the tricks.

This is Heather at Sarson's Beach around 2012.

Ivy at SunOka, listening to her dad talking, circa 2013. The top photo has some paper still on it, while the paler one below is the pure transfer.
Gerald and Ezra. I think the blurriness of the transferred image enhances the wistfulness and tenderness of this photo.
