Early Print-making

Here I drew onto craft foam, pressing in quite hard to make grooves, then inked over and pulled this print. The lines are more precise than cutting into the foam with an x-acto, and far less pressure needed so less demanding on the joints. This is from a picture of me as a little girl (left) with my aunt holding me.

The strange dude below was made with a foam stamp. I like the ghost-y texture of the ink. I cut the outside with scissors and inside with x-acto, stuck it onto a wooden block, then stamped it onto paper. The foam was gluey on one side so very hard to cut. Proper materials needed! I have some beautiful craft linoleum but it was expensive so I'd like to get a little more knowledgeable before I slice into that.
