Ryan Writing

More printing efforts, this one really kind of a tracing print. I inked a piece of glass (salvaged from behind the glass store), then laid a paper over it gently and drew on the paper. This was the second print - the first one was too inky, so for the second one I brayered again over the original ink and made the print. This is from a photo of Ryan when he was about 7.

Below, I found a piece of foam that was sticky on one side - I had no idea how sticky until I tried to take the cut piece off the table. I cut the picture in with an x-acto knife and then peeled it off the table and figured out how to put the pieces back together. Had it come off in one piece the lines would have been finer, I think. Anyway, the middle picture here is actually the cut and inked foam piece, which I thought had some interest and validity of its own, and then below is the actual print - second one, as again the first one was quite inky. I will learn what "thin layer of ink" actually means pretty soon.
